At-Tariq · The Nightcommer
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِBy the sky and the night comerوَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُAnd what can make you know what is the night comer?ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُIt is the piercing starإِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌThere is no soul but that it has over it a protector.فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَSo let man observe from what he was created.خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍHe was created from a fluid, ejected,يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِEmerging from between the backbone and the ribs.إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌIndeed, He [i.e., Allāh], to return him [to life], is Able.يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُThe Day when secrets will be put on trial,فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍThen he [i.e., man] will have no power or any helper.وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِBy the sky which sends backوَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِAnd [by] the earth which splits,إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌIndeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a decisive statement,وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِAnd it is not amusement.إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًاIndeed, they are planning a plan,وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًاBut I am planning a plan.فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢاSo allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.

Al-A'la · The Most High
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَىExalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰWho created and proportionedوَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰAnd who destined and [then] guidedوَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰAnd who brings out the pastureفَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰAnd [then] makes it black stubble.سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓWe will make you recite, [O Muḥammad], and you will not forget,إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰExcept what Allāh should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰAnd We will ease you toward ease.فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰSo remind, if the reminder should benefit;سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰHe who fears [Allāh] will be reminded.وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَىBut the wretched one will avoid itٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰNeither dying therein nor living.قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰHe has certainly succeeded who purifies himselfوَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰAnd mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
