التين
At-Tin · The Fig
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِBy the fig and the oliveوَطُورِ سِينِينَAnd [by] Mount Sinaiوَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِAnd [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍWe have certainly created man in the best of stature;ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَThen We return him to the lowest of the low,إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍExcept for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِSo what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَIs not Allāh the most just of judges?
العلق
Al-'Alaq · The Clot
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَRecite in the name of your Lord who createdخَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍCreated man from a clinging substance.ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُRecite, and your Lord is the most Generous -ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِWho taught by the penعَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْTaught man that which he knew not.كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓNo! [But] indeed, man transgressesأَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓBecause he sees himself self-sufficient.إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓIndeed, to your Lord is the return.أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰHave you seen the one who forbidsعَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓA servant when he prays?أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓHave you seen if he is upon guidanceأَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓOr enjoins righteousness?أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓHave you seen if he denies and turns away -أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰDoes he not know that Allāh sees?كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِNo! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelockنَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍA lying, sinning forelock.فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥThen let him call his associates;سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَWe will call the angels of Hell.كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allāh].
